Japanese Sword training develops self discipline in
mind and body
Since 1997, Shin Sei Kan has trained students in
the traditional art of Japanese Swordsmanship. The school teaches
the art of Kenjutsu (Fighting with the sword) and the art of Iaido
(drawing the sword). The training syllabus includes a number of
Japanese weapons and specialist arts associated with the
Samurai.
The focus of the school is to educate practitioners on
the mental and physical aspects of Japanese Swordsmanship as well
as associated disciplines that align with the art such as sword
appreciation, Zen Buddhism, Japanese history, strategy and tactics.
The core lessons of the school have practical application in
everyday life. The combination of physical and mental training make
it an ideal style for those looking for a complete martial art that
will add value to their life and overall well being.
